I work as a nurse and have been using Alegria shoes to prevent foot, knee, and back pain during my 12hr shifts for 9yrs now. I used the debra model for years (after my other favorite was discontinued) and never had a bad day for my feet. Decided to take a chance and try a new style, and I’ve been pleasantly surprised. Although the Orygin is a touch narrower, and more snug across the top/dorsal surface of the foot, my feet are just as comfortable as before the last month of wear. Note that the elastic across the top of the foot used to keep the fit snug can be felt on the wearer, but the trim and seam is flat and soft enough to not cause irritation or blisters. My foot is not particularly wide, but I always found the fit of Danskos to be too narrow and cut into the top of my foot. This model still gives me the solid support I need, but with with a little extra flavor.
