Upper leather very rigid causing sores on foot

These are wonderfully comfortable shoes. Not sure why the other reviewer had problems with Velcro. I purchased the shoe in wide and after a year, no problems with Velcro. If worried about Velcro pulling so much, going from a medium to a wide could resolve this issue or loosen the straps on the medium, so it fits more properly around the foot.
Purchased the shoe in the Earth Goddess , perfect! Beautiful sandals! So in love with this sandal.

Unfortunately the plastic material has very sharp edges and the top of my foot was scaped raw to the point it bloodied the inside of the shoe. Cute shoe but painful.

I do the "AH" every time I put them on.

I had the same style before. They were much softer. This are very hard. And unfortunately I can’t return them, as it’s not refundable.

I’ve purchased over a dozen pair of Alegria shoes over the years. This pair is in my top 3. Comfortable from the first step. My foot feels secure in this style, not inclined to slip around on the footbed.
