I am extremely disappointed with my purchase of the Julee Vinely Sandal. The product description on the website failed to mention that these sandals have a velcro strap, which is a critical detail for customers to know before purchasing. I have purchased Alegria shoes with velcro straps in the past, and the quality of the velcro was very poor—it lost its stickiness within six months, forcing me to pay a cobbler a significant amount of money to replace it.
When I received the sandals and discovered they had a velcro strap, I immediately contacted customer service to request a return and refund. However, I was told that returns are not allowed because these sandals are "Last Call" items. This policy feels unfair, especially since the product description failed to disclose an important feature that directly impacts the product’s longevity and usability.
Alegria needs to improve its transparency in product descriptions and reconsider its rigid return policies for situations like this. I would not recommend these sandals or shopping with Alegria Shoe Shop unless they address these issues. Customers deserve better.
