I hesitated to buy these because the reviews for these shoes have been all over the place. Alegria is a brand worn by lots of folks with serious foot problems, and I can’t help but wonder if perhaps that accounts for some of the negative reviews. While my aging feet can’t handle the shoes I used to wear, I am not living with plantar fasciitis nor neuropathy. I have a mild bunion on one foot and high arches, normal width feet.
I took a chance on the Jazmine and I’m so glad I did. I accidentally ordered these Dapper, but was pleasantly surprised that the leather was soft. I didn’t need any break in time.
That went so well, I ordered the espresso color and it’s super comfortable too. I hope they will consider some colors like turquoise or butterscotch. These are so cute.
The souls are soft and supportive. The toe area is tighter than their normal shoes/not as wide as I had expected.
My wife is a professional pilot and has worn Alegria shoes for a number of years. They have been super comfortable and somewhat stylish for the job asked of them. Unfortunately, this last pair, the Dapper black shoe, has the most flimsy velcro enclosure that refuses to stay put. Five stars for comfort, one star for longevity.
Alegria has always made their Mary Jane’s with enough material to cover the toes up to the top of the foot, these were incredibly hard leather that felt like it was cutting my food, since I had to pay for return shipping for the first time ever, I will be looking for my shoes elsewhere going forward.
These shoes did not disappoint. They are very comfortable and stylish. Hoping you will come out with more colors.
These cut into the tops of my feet pretty bad. I don’t really consider myself to have “fat” feet but these are definitely for people with flatter feet than I have. Cute shoes though. Oh and it’s a Velcro closure. For some reason that never seems to be disclosed
These shoes are exactly what I’d hoped they’d be—so comfortable and perfect for work and play. Would love to buy in another color—like red. Hopefully, I’ll find them in red.
