Love "em

I am so happy that I purchased the Daphne Black Softie Shoe. They fit perfectly. Though they feel like a comfortable tennis shoe the look allows me to wear them to my office. It lives up to its name...softie. I also appreciate the support of the rocker sole. Thinking about purchasing another pair.

Comfortable

While I am disappointed that shoes like the Daphne do not have the patented/replaceable signature footbed, they are very comfortable. Roomy in the tie area.

Great arch support. Has a wide, rounded toe box that doesn't hurt my bunions. Definitely recommend.

Little black shoe

I tried this style of shoe for the first time. I am very pleased with it. It is very comfortable as soon as it is put on. I have many alegria shoes and I continue to buy them as they are all very comfortable for my problem feet. I wear this black shoe to take my daily walk and I wear it to work where I am on my feet all day walking around on concrete.
Love this shoe!

Love this shoe

This is the most comfortable pair of shoes I have ever worn. I ordered another pair in another color. Soft-like walking on a cloud!

Most comfortable tennis shoes ever had

I shouldn’t be surprised. I own around 15 pair of Algeria shoes. Started 10 years ago as a solution for a hospital nurse. Now my foot screams if I try anything else. Thanks

Very thankful feet!!

I struggle with finding shoes that are not only comfortable, but that keep my pain from bunions and dislocated hammer toes to a minimum. I have ordered shoes from many different manufacturers only to return them. I was “over the moon” ecstatic when I experience immediate comfort and support when I tried on the Daphne Black Softie Shoe. Thank you!! I’ll be ordering a second pair if they’re still available!!

superior in some respects but....

rockersole and fit very comfortable but shoe is too soft in arch support for prolonged wearing even with insole plus orthotic for a flat footed person like me

Good fit

I usually go with a Debra styke shoe, but this one fits about the same just a little snug in the width

Peeling

So first off, these shoes are a great fit for me (usually 8.5, ordered a 9 and no issues.) I haven't had any problems with the actual comfort of them BUT I've had them for about 3 weeks of 5 shifts/week and the outsides are peeling already. It's just cosmetic and doesn't affect the durability (right now) but still disappointing to have these issues so fast.

Not What I’d Hoped For

I had bought them hoping to replace my old Alegria sneaks that have been worn all to heck, but these were a lot narrower than I expected, and I don’t have a wide foot. I could tell the toe box was going to be painful because of how tight it was just trying them on while sitting. I ended up returning these shoes the day after I got them.

Overall, still a great shoe

This is my 4th pair of Alegrias, with it being my 2nd lace-up style. This is the first pair that has seemed snug from my arch to the tips of my toes. Given that they are leather & I have only been wearing them almost a week, I am hoping they will relax a little once I get them "broken in." I'm only mentioning it because its the first time I've noticed a problem with any Alegrias & they are a little tight and HOT right now. I am thankful they are making more solid, lace-up shoes because I am not in the medical or culinary field so solid-color lace ups look better with my uniform. I despise prints or textures on work shoes because I am not out to make a fashion statement & I think some of the prints are ridiculous. I'm hoping & praying that Alegria will develop a shoe similar to this one in a more breathable fabric for comfort in hot weather, especially for the southern part of the United States. I must wear a closed toe shoe with good support as I am on concrete all day at work but this shoe is hot & a little tight & it's just March. I don't regret the purchase, yet, but I have a lot of hope
that the shoe will become more comfortable once its worn another week or so. I also wish it came in a tan/khaki color. Hope this helps somebody.....

Great comfort, poor traction

I bought these to wear to my job in food service. I have a chronic pain condition, so having great, supportive shoes is vital for me. I was uneasy when I tried them on but decided to keep them, and now they'd broken in I am glad I did. Comfiest work shoe I've ever owned.

However, despite being labeled as non-slip, they slip quite easily on the floors at work after mopping/near the dish pit. I'll probably have to modify the soles to make them safer to work.

If you work a job with hours on your feet and a potentially slippery environment, and you're fine with having to pay MORE money to make them nonslip, then I'd recommend them.

If you work long hours on your feet, and slipping isn't a problem, then I HIGHLY recommend these shoes.
