This is my fifth pair of Palomas so obviously I like them. The wide width and open top fit my high arches and wide feet, so they are my go-to shoe. This is the first pair I’ve had with embossed leather, however, and they seem more rigid and less forgiving of my tailor’s bunion. Hopefully they will loosen up with wear. I do wish Alegria would offer wide sizes in other styles, as I sometimes feel like I’m wearing spatulas on my feet, given the clunky shape of these shoes. But keep making them since I depend on them!
These shoes are incredibly comfortable. PLEASE BRING NAVY back!!!

I love this style that Alegria does with the Mary Jane! It is a fresh and a new-ish style version. And the best is that I got my size in a Wide Width. I had to search to find the wide selection. It needs to be more visible and advertised. This wide fit made all the difference over the first pair I bought when I had no clue they came in a Wide. The toe box is way better in the wide but needs to be a bit higher so as not to rub on the top of the toes. I did ask for the "Button" closure, and did not get that style, but I noticed they do not guarantee it. For the price, I should have gotten that nice white button style. Other than that, all things considered, I love the shoe and would recommend it to anyone looking for comfort and long wearing.
