First of all, the Return Policy for Alegriashoes. com sucks. It cost me $28 to return the shoes. Will never order from here again. Then the fit - I don't know what's happened to Alegria shoes. Did they switch manufacturers? I bought a pair about 6 years ago of the oxfords, size 39, and they are REALLY comfortable. I've worn them constantly. But every pair I've ordered and tried in the last few years, in size 39, has been just a tad short. My big toes are squished up against the front, and very uncomfortable. Of course, a size 40 is too big. My feet slip up and down. I've given up on this brand, except for the slip-on styles. They seem to fit okay.
